Mount Bethany Public School, an institution run by the Bethany Fathers, founded by the great educationalist, the servant of God, Archbishop Mar Ivanios OIC. Bethany Group of Institutions cherish and nurture his dreams – transform a person to transform a society and his prayer “O Lord God of Creation, people created in your image and likeness are perishing in ignorance and darkness. Grant them the grace to know You and worship You”.

Mount Bethany Public School has made great strides and an indelible mark in the field of education in a short span of its existence, since its establishment in 2002.But it has a lot to achieve. Each milestone achieved reminds of many that need to be achieved. It has to update itself to the ever growing challenges of the dynamic world.

Mount Bethany Public School tries to keep up the ethos of the land and dreams of liberating young minds and souls from the bonds of ignorance and darkness with the motto “Sa Vidya Ya Vimuktaye”, Wisdom Liberates Us. A mission with a vision to go beyond… overcome barriers and building bridges for a bright future.

We proudly acknowledge and remember the founder and first administrator, Rev. Dr. Jose Kuruvila OIC (2002-2012) The baton was handed over to Rev. Fr. Babu Michael OIC, in 2012 . The school had a humble beginning with 102 students from classes I to V at Mylapra, in 2002. The stone for the new school building was blessed in 2003 by His Grace Thomas Mar Koorilos, Archbishop of Tiruvalla and inaugurated in May 2004 by His Grace Joshua Mar Ignatios in the presence of Very Rev. Fr. George Thomas OIC, the then Superior General of Bethany Ashram and Very Rev. Fr. Reji Thomas OIC the provincial superior of Bethany Navajeevan Province. The school has been empowered with nearly 1250 students and 58 staff members from classes I to XII. Our Administrators, Directors, Principals - Rev. Fr. Titus John OIC (2005- 07), Rev. Fr. Yesudas OIC (2007-08), Rev. Fr. Thomas George OIC (2009 – 13), Rev. Fr. Siju Thomas OIC (2013 -2014), Rev. Fr. Babu Michael OIC (2012 - 2018),Rev.Fr. Rijo Thomas OIC (2018 -2020), Rev.Fr. Sajan Thomas OIC (2020-2021)., Rev. Fr. Jacob Dayanand OIC (2021-2022). Our present Administrator Rev. Fr. Sijo Thomas OIC has been leading our School with vigour and enthusiasm.
